Job Title: Automotive Technician - Toyota Dealership
Location: Szott M59 Toyota, Waterford, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $75,000-$100,000 annually (based on experience and certifications)

Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Automotive Technicians to join our busy service department. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain Toyota vehicles, ensuring high-quality service for our customers. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with Toyota or ASE certifications, a passion for automotive excellence, and a commitment to efficiency in a high-volume dealership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Toyota vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical, and hybrid systems, to meet factory standards.
  • Conduct routine services (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs) and complex repairs for our service customers.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and Toyota-specific software to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Complete multi-point inspections and recommend additional services to enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to dealership and OSHA safety standards.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and communicate repair needs to customers.
  • Stay current with Toyota technical training and certifications to ensure expertise in new models and technologies.
  • Document all repair work accurately in dealership systems for warranty and billing purposes.

Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a Toyota or high-volume dealership environment.
  • ASE certifications (preferred) or Toyota Technical Training certifications; willingness to pursue certifications if not already certified.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scan tools, and Toyota-specific systems (e.g., Techstream).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Toyota hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
