Job Title
Automotive Software Design & Release Engineer

Overview / Summary
We are seeking a Software Design & Release Engineer to support the delivery of vehicle software across global programs and electrical architectures. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, disciplined release management, and hands-on vehicle support in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence four days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage software release activities, including deploying software to enterprise repositories and systems
  • Release program-specific software builds in alignment with program requirements
  • Establish and maintain supplier project frameworks
  • Define deliverables, timelines, and acceptance criteria for supplier projects
  • Author and manage engineering change orders for software variants
  • Manage associated project funding requirements
  • Own and deliver engineering sign-off activities aligned with program milestones
  • Produce engineering documentation, including:
    • Configuration specifications
    • Network interface designs
    • Special characteristics documentation
    • Requirements and regulatory classifications
    • Design verification plans and reports
  • Perform on-site software flashing, validation, and diagnostics from early development through production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including program teams, system integration, vehicle operations, software development, and release teams to support successful launches
