WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Diagnose and repair Buick and GMC vehicles across a full range of systems - engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, four-wheel drive, and beyond - using GM diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans - communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to GM factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
• Complete repair orders accurately - documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
• Stay current on GM technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift
• Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership - required
• GM or domestic brand experience strongly preferred - Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Ford, Ram, or similar backgrounds a strong advantage; import technicians with strong fundamentals welcome
• Strong diagnostic foundation - able to work through multi-system problems accurately and efficiently, including 4WD and Alaska-specific wear patterns
• GM diagnostic platform experience - GDS2 or equivalent preferred
• ASE certifications a strong plus - GM factory certifications highly valued
• Low comeback rate and a quality standard you own
• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift in Alaska conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
