Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will ensure customer satisfaction by exhibiting professional work habits and strong ethics. Your role includes accurately diagnosing vehicle issues and performing repairs safely and efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Accurately troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest technical tools and administrative systems.
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to all customers and assist as a secondary greeter in the Service Drive area.
  • Stay up to date with technical publications, service communications, and software systems.
  • Deliver vehicle service safely and correctly on the first visit.
  • Address all original customer concerns before recommending additional services.
  • Inspect vehicles for maintenance needs and potential additional sales opportunities following local and factory guidelines.
  • Ensure vehicles are returned to customers clean or cleaner than at intake.
  • Participate in factory or in-house training programs to maintain and improve technical skills.
  • Complete all required paperwork thoroughly and accurately, attaching necessary documentation to repair orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and uniform standards.
Work Environment and Hours

This is a full-time position based in Indianapolis, IN. The role requires adherence to scheduled work hours and active participation in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Job Requirements: Qualifications
  • Experience in warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on various vehicle makes and models.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
  • Positive attitude with high energy and strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow technical and procedural instructions.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
Education and Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • ASE certification or equivalent technical aptitude is required.
  • Technical or trade school degree is preferred.
