IntroductionAudi Edmonton North is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our leadership team.
We are seeking a proven automotive leader with a strong track record in used vehicle sales, inventory management, gross profit performance, and team development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager who wants to play a key role in driving the continued growth and success of a premium automotive dealership.
Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent leadership role based on approximately 40 hours per week. Given the nature of the retail automotive business, this role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as well as additional hours as needed to support business operations and team performance.
This role reports to the General Sales Manager of the dealership.
The OpportunityAs Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading our sales team while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience, profitability, and sales performance.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who understands that success in today's automotive market requires strong processes, accountability, coaching, and a deep understanding of both new and pre-owned vehicle operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and annual targets
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize used vehicle sales, gross profit, and inventory turn
- Manage used vehicle acquisition, appraisal, pricing, merchandising, and aging inventory
- Monitor market pricing and ensure inventory remains competitively positioned
- Establish clear sales processes and hold the team accountable to performance standards
- Work closely with the General Manager and other department leaders to maximize dealership profitability
- Review sales performance, leads, appointments, closing ratios, gross profit, and other key performance indicators
- Develop and mentor sales consultants and sales leadership
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure issues are addressed professionally and promptly
- Work closely with the Finance team to maximize overall deal profitability and customer satisfaction
- Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and applicable provincial regulations
What We're Looking For- Proven experience as an Automotive Sales Manager
- Strong used vehicle experience with demonstrated knowledge of appraisals, pricing, inventory management, and market trends
- A strong understanding of dealership profitability and gross management
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- A results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Strong knowledge of automotive sales processes and CRM systems
- A valid driver's licence
- Experience with a luxury or premium automotive brand would be considered an asset.
