HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTEThis is a full-time position responsible for leading shop floor associates (SFA's) in a manufacturing environment. overseeing daily operations on the shop floor to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. This role acts as the first line of leadership for shop employees, providing guidance, direction, and support while maintaining open communication with supervisors and management.
- Maintain a clean work area, enforce safety regulations and take action to remove safety hazards.
- Assist in managing daily production schedule and corresponding manpower requirements to meet production targets.
- Ensure materials and processes result in the production of products that meet quality standards.
- Observe, train and coach employees, ensuring conformance to safety and operating procedures while maintaining the required production output.
- Troubleshoot equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize down time.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS- Competency in Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results.
- Team-player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized, detail orientated, and skilled at following up and following through.
- Possess a mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Thorough technical knowledge of assigned products.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, Bill of Materials and other production related documentation.
- Knowledge and ability to maintain Lean manufacturing programs and metrics related to Safety, Quality and Delivery.
- Mechanically inclined and self-motivated.
- Advanced knowledge of MIG welding and equipment required.
- Must have own tools.

ducation & Experience:- High school diploma, equivalent
- Three-year related experience (preferred but not mandatory) in a manufacturing environment or technical school.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to shop floor processes is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Most of the time will be spent standing on a hard surface.
- Position requires the ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires performance of moderately difficult, manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills.
- Position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods.
- Position requires the capability to see objects closely.
- Position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time.
- This position is indoors in a traditional manufacturing/warehouse setting.
- The position is indoors and there may be exposure to hazardous fumes and debris.
- There will be varying temperatures between different areas.
- There will be normal sounds with some background noises.
