Job Title: Automotive General ManagerThe Automotive General Manager oversees all operations within a dealership, ensuring profitability, efficient operations, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage sales, service, parts, finance, and administrative departments, while driving growth, achieving revenue targets, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage all dealership operations, including sales, service, and parts departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Oversee sales team performance, providing coaching, training, and motivation to maximize productivity and revenue
- Manage fixed operations, including service and parts departments, to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational excellence
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturer representatives
- Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Skills and Qualifications:- Proven experience in dealership sales management and fixed operations, within a Ford dealership
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Strong understanding of automotive sales processes, service operations, and parts management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports and develop strategies to improve profitability
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive Management, or related field preferred
Requirements
- Ford Motor Company experience required
- Proven experience in automotive dealership management, as a GM required.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of dealership operations, including sales, finance, service, and parts.
- Analytical and financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with CDK Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or related field (preferred).
