We are hiring for an Automation Tester opportunity. Role: Automation Tester Location: Santa Fe, NM Position: 3 Role Overview: We are seeking experienced Automation Testers with strong expertise in test automation, Selenium, Java, manual testing, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have experience across the complete software testing lifecycle, including system, integration, regression, user acceptance, and performance testing. Experience supporting large scale programs, Agile delivery environments, and public sector projects, particularly eligibility related systems, is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases • Perform system, integration, regression, user acceptance, and performance testing • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java • Convert business and technical requirements into detailed test cases and automation scenarios • Execute manual test cases and document test results and defects • Develop and maintain automation frameworks and reusable test scripts • Establish testing strategies for large scale programs and maintain requirements traceability throughout the SDLC • Support quality assurance processes and gain delivery buy in from project stakeholders • Perform functional, regression, load, coverage, black box, and grey box testing as required • Collaborate with Scrum Masters, SMEs, test leads, developers, and business stakeholders • Track and manage defects using Jira and related testing tools • Support CI/CD and DevOps testing activities using tools such as Jenkins • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide testing status, risks, and defect updates • Troubleshoot automation failures and work with development teams to resolve issues • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality practices Required Skills: • 3 to 6 years of experience performing software testing activities • Experience across system, integration, regression, user acceptance, and performance testing • 3+ years of experience in test automation • Strong hands on experience with Selenium • Experience developing automation scripts using Java • Experience with Selenium frameworks or similar automation and SOA testing tools • Experience developing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases • Experience executing test cases and documenting test results • Understanding of black box, grey box, load, coverage, and regression testing techniques • Experience working in Agile delivery environments • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Xray • Experience with manual testing and automated testing • Strong understanding of requirements traceability and the software development lifecycle • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills Preferred Skills: • Experience testing public sector applications, preferably eligibility related systems • Experience developing testing strategies for large scale programs • Experience with Python for test automation • Experience with performance testing and performance engineering • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices • Experience using Jenkins for automated testing and deployment pipelines • Experience working with Scrum Masters, SMEs, developers, and test leads • Experience driving QA processes and obtaining stakeholder delivery buy in • Experience with Confluence and Xray for test documentation and management • Knowledge of enterprise automation frameworks and reusable test architecture • Experience with State Government or public sector projects Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
