  • Provide on-call remote and on-site technical support while training associates on operations and repairs.
  • Manage daily automation operations through routine maintenance, component upgrades, and process monitoring.
  • Complete work orders, logs, and documentation in line with established procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement programs such as Breakdown Analysis and Deployments.

About the Team:

Walmart is opening its third owned and operated milk processing facility in Robinson, Texas, scheduled to begin operations in 2026. The state-of-the-art facility will process and bottle a variety of milk options, including Gallon, Half Gallon, Whole, 2%, 1%, Skim, and 1% Chocolate Milk for Walmart's Great Value and Sam's Club's Member's Mark brands. This new facility represents Walmart's commitment to building a more resilient and transparent supply chain, sourcing high-quality milk primarily from Texas dairy farmers to serve more than 750 Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and parts of Arkansas and Mississippi.

What you'll do:

  • Completes work assignments by utilizing resources, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying priorities, communicating progress, determining improvement opportunities, and adapting to difficulties and feedback
  • Programs and troubleshoots automated control systems like integration, electronics, robotics, fiber optic sensors, pneumatic-hydraulic controls, touch panels, programmable logic controls, and human-machine interface
  • Utilizes one-line and electrical schematic designs, electrical equipment controls, instrumentations, and configurations (for example, pump/Variable Frequency Drive, Allen Bradley, Factory Talk, Siemens, B&R brand controllers and systems)
  • Provides on-call remote and on-site technical support for automation equipment and trains associates on operation and repair
  • Manages daily operations of automation systems by performing routine maintenance, upgrading and replacing components and control systems, continuously monitoring processes, and correcting malfunctions
  • Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Supports plant operation quality and continuous improvement programs like Breakdown Analysis and Breakdown Deployments

Work hours:

During the facility building construction phase, the regular work hours will be Monday-Friday, 7:00 am- 3:30 pm; post start-up, the regular work hours will be Sunday, 5:00 am- 3:30 pm. Once the facility is running at full capacity, the regular work hours will be Sunday- Wednesday, 12:00 pm- 10:30 pm. This role requires schedule flexibility to support team and operational needs. We value adaptability and a willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:
  • 3+ year's experience in maintenance or control automation
  • 2+ years' experience Allen Bradley, Rockwell, or Siemens PLC programming
  • 2+ years' experience with SCADA/HMI
  • 2+ years' experience supervising employees in industrial maintenance (for example, welding, refrigeration, electrical, electronics)
  • CMMS experience
  • Nice to have: Bachelor's Degree or professional certification in engineering, technology, or related field
  • Nice to have: Kuka or Fanuc Robotics experience
  • Nice to have: Networking experience (for example: switches, routers, etc)
  • Nice to have: SAP experience

The annual salary range for this position is $65,500.00-$98,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
