Description

We are currently seeking an Automation Specialist with a strong technical background and great communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality automation solutions. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and implementating of automation systems across a variety of complex projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, configure, and program automation and control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Provide detailed documentation throughout each project.
  • Complete controls designs and electrical schematics; specifying hardware and components.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems.
  • Inspect products and processes to identify areas of improvement.
  • Interact with customers to understand requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, test results, and project progress, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, new technologies, materials and compliance standards.
  • Prepare hardwired design sketch work on assigned projects.
  • Develop and implement design standards/modular hardwired designs.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent preferred)
  • 3+ years of work experience in automation, controls, or a related field
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI Programming including Siemens and Rockwell
  • Experience with vision systems, specifically Cognex and Keyence.
  • Strong communication skills to relay complex technical concepts to customers
  • Proficiency in CAD and drafting software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope
  • Proven ability to interpret and implement specifications accurately.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States or be eligible for a TN Visa, as some of our projects are based in the U.S

Compensation

$38.46 - $52.88 per hour
