Responsibilities

  • Develop machine processes with support from mechanical engineering
  • Assist in the selection of electrical components
  • Create machine control programs using Allen Bradley Studio 5000
  • Design HMIs for machine control using Allen Bradley FTView Studio ME
  • Review and program safety circuit designs
  • Suggest design improvements during all machine design phases
  • Integrate third-party equipment into machine functions
  • Debug and prepare the machine for factory acceptance testing (FAT)
  • Review operating manuals prepared by the technical writer
  • Travel to customer facilities for machine integration and site acceptance testing (SAT)
  • Communicate positively and professionally with customers

Full Job Description
Your role in our team
  • You will develop machine processes with support from mechanical engineering
  • You will assist with the selection of electrical components
  • You will create programs to control machines using Allen Bradley Studio 5000 software
  • You will design HMIs for machine control using Allen Bradley FTView Studio ME software
  • You will review the safety circuit design and complete machine safety system programming
  • You will provide suggestions for design improvements or changes during all phases of machine design
  • You will integrate third party equipment into machine functions
  • You will debug and prepare the machine for factory acceptance testing (FAT)
  • You will review the operating manuals prepared by the technical writer
  • You will travel to the customer's facility for machine integration and site acceptance testing (SAT)
  • You will communicate and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner


Your profile
  • You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
  • You have experience in programming PLC's, robots, and creating operator interfaces preferred
  • You are familiar with other programming languages a plus (Python, C++, C#, VB)
  • You have experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • You are able to travel up to 25%
