Role OverviewThe Testing Automation Lead level is responsible for defining and driving the automation strategy across complex insurance transformation programs The role requires deep expertise in automation engineering leadership in guiding distributed teams and strong understanding of insurance platforms products and processes The Lead ensures delivery excellence by implementing scalable automation solutions improving quality outcomes and accelerating time to market across engagements
Key Responsibilities- Define automation roadmap and strategy aligned to program objectives within the insurance portfolio
- Design develop and implement enterprise grade automation frameworks for web mobile API and integration testing
- Lead automation teams provide technical guidance conduct code reviews and ensure engineering best practices
- Oversee automation planning estimation prioritization and reporting across Agile delivery cycles
- Ensure strong collaboration with developers solution architects business analysts and manual QA teams
- Establish automation standards templates reusable libraries version control practices and continuous improvement models
- Integrate automation suites into CICD pipelines and ensure continuous validation practices
- Drive optimization of test coverage maintainability and reusability across multiple insurance applications
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear communication on automation progress risks and dependencies
- Mentor automation engineers and groom next level automation leads
Required Skills and Experience- 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with at least four years in automation leadership roles
- Expertise in Selenium Java or Python TestNG or JUnit and designing custom frameworks
- Strong hands on knowledge of API test automation RestAssured or similar tools
- Working experience with CICD tools such as Jenkins Azure DevOps Git and pipeline configuration
- Ability to architect frameworks using Page Object Model data driven hybrid and service level automation patterns
- Good understanding of insurance domain processes including policy claims billing and underwriting systems
- Proven experience leading geographically distributed automation teams
- Strong knowledge of SDLC STLC Agile DevOps and modern delivery practices
Preferred Skills- Mobile automation experience with Appium
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow
- Exposure to cloud technologies containerization and microservices architecture
- Understanding of performance engineering concepts and collaboration with performance teams
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and conflict resolution ability
- Ability to think strategically while managing hands on technical responsibilities
- High ownership accountability and commitment to quality excellence
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with large Financial Services Insurance clients and multi vendor environments is preferred.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 97,371 to 121,364.
