Full Job Description
CI Azumano is seeking an Automation Developer to support our growing team. This is a remote position.

Position Summary:

The Automation Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining travel software and workflows that transform manual processes into efficient, automated systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be aware of and comply with all corporate policies.
  • Provide backup assistance for other staff within the department.
  • Maintain exceptional project/time management, prioritization, and organizational skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all departments and vendors to ensure customer projects and program implementations are completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain working knowledge of travel technology products, including product upgrades and new products; determine impact and communicate updates to internal and external parties, as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality, and timely documentation for all travel technology-related processes and procedures.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to provide support to the team as required.
  • Coordinate with other CI Azumano departments and third-party vendors on new tools and processes that reduce repetitive tasks and increase efficiency while maintaining customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to leadership, including current workload, project status updates, current or potential barriers to success, and recommended solutions.
  • Provide regular feedback to leadership regarding customer relationships, escalating any unresolved client issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Support Desk Responsibilities:
  • Receive internal and external client inquiries primarily via email or Zendesk regarding product functionality or issues; research with the client to fully diagnose the issue, develop creative solutions, and respond within established timelines.
  • When appropriate, provide consultative guidance to internal and external customers toward resolution of their service issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts as necessary to resolve customer issues.
  • Logically diagnose and resolve intermediate to advanced issues or determine the resources required for resolution.

Technical Responsibilities:
  • Consult with internal customers to understand specific needs, develop technical requirements, and recommend best practices and alternative solutions as needed.
  • Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities and design custom end-to-end technical workflows.
  • Connect processes across enterprise applications, databases, and APIs where appropriate.
  • Perform system maintenance duties and ensure applications remain current with vendor releases, patches, and other requirements.
  • Ensure all application changes and upgrades follow a standard process, while keeping exceptions to a minimum. When necessary, coordinate with other departments to confirm needs are met.
  • Document automation design for governance and audit purposes.
  • Work directly with third-party vendors to manage projects when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of experience in the travel industry.
  • Expertise in at least one Global Distribution System (GDS).
