Full Job Description
Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.
We are seeking an Auto Adjuster to join our team supporting claims across the Northeastern states. In this role, you will be responsible for handling coverage and liability investigations on auto claims, including diminished value claims. This position focuses on determining coverage and liability rather than writing vehicle appraisals. The adjuster will coordinate inspections and work closely with the appraisal process as needed. We are open to candidates located in the Eastern time zone states.
Key Responsibilities
• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
• Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
• Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job does not have supervisory duties.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Cons I: $50,000 - $86,400
Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $93,250
Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 -$117,700
Adjuster Sr Cons II: $70,100- $124,500
Annually and is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
Allstate provides a comprehensive technology setup, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse. Employees eligible to work from home also receive a monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs.
