Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Auditor (GS-07 T12) in a developmental capacity to work at Travis AFB, CA. Salary- $55,934 -$128, 987.00 • Travel authorized up to 25% • This is a developmental position (GS-07 Target 12) • This is not a remote position AFCS Benefits: Paid Time Off: • 11 Federal Holidays each year • 13 sick leave days earned per year (accumulative) Paid Vacation Time: • 13-26 days per year based on length of employment Health Insurance: • No waiting period to qualify for you and your family Retirement: • Immediate coverage by the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) • Basic Benefits Plan • Social Security • Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), similar to a 401(k) (Automatically receive 1% agency contributions and up to 5% matching) The primary purpose of this position is to serve in a developmental capacity as an Auditor assigned to the Air Force Audit Agency performing assignments designed to further develop applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques. This program is intended to develop broad-based individuals who can deal effectively with change and complexity within the Air Force environment as it relates to their career field. Duties: Performs a variety of routine taskings in the areas of audit planning, research, scheduling, and coordination. Performs a variety of professional auditing tasks selected by the supervisor or experienced employee that will provide an understanding of and experience toward planning and conducting audit assignments. Performs a variety of routine tasks involving auditing of Air Force activities and programs. Carries out portions of standardized audit tasks assigned to higher-level auditors. Performs a variety of routine tasks in the areas of audit data analysis, preparation of conclusions and recommendations, preparation and coordination of reports, and presentation of findings. Analyzes gathered data by applying established Government auditing methods and techniques. Carries out special projects designed to further the intern's training and development. Assignments are in keeping with the formal training plans to include administrative assignments to develop knowledge of the mission and functions of the Audit community. Ability to plan and organize work and consult effectively with co-workers.
