Job DescriptionThe selected audit staff member will support the external audit of a large DoD component, and provision of an opinion on the component's financial statements.
The work responsibilities are varied and could include testing of internal controls over financial reporting, risk assessments, substantive testing, aggregation of audit results, assessment of financial management policies for compliance, preparation of audit reports and NFRs and other duties.
For certain positions, there is a possibility of travel to United States and International locations in support of audit procedures.
Applicants must have at least a Secret clearance and at least 2 seasons of Federal Financial Statement experience.
Required Skills- 4 year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or business management related field from an accredited College or University
- At least 2 to 4 years of work experience, including experience in auditing, internal controls, accounting or financial consulting for the Federal government or Department of Defense
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must hold at least an interim Secret clearance
Required Experience- Experience performing audits of DoD, Federal agencies and/or large commercial organizations is desirable.
- Experience documenting and testing internal controls.
- Knowledge of Federal government and/or DoD financial management systems and processes.
- Big Four experience and financial statement audit experience is a plus.
- CPA designation or passed one or more sections of the CPA exam is desirable but not required.
