Position SummaryThe Audit Partner leads the firm's audit and assurance practice, overseeing client engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards, developing client relationships, mentoring staff, and supporting firm growth through business development and strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
- Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and reports for quality and compliance.
- Advise clients on accounting, auditing, internal controls, and business risks.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Lead, mentor, and develop audit managers and staff.
- Support recruiting, performance management, and professional development.
- Drive practice growth through networking, proposals, and business development.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, AICPA standards, firm quality control policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to firm leadership, strategic planning, and operational initiatives.
Qualifications- Active CPA license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience, including significant audit leadership.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
- Proven leadership, communication, client relationship, and business development skills.
