Audit Manager to support our Lethbridge-based not-for-profit team. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong audit expertise and is passionate about working with organizations that are making a real difference in the world.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our team, you will:

Audit Leadership and Supervision
  • Lead and oversee annual audit engagements for our not-for-profit client group.
  • Ensure work aligns with professional standards and industry best practices.
  • Drive audit planning, execution, and on-time delivery of high-quality engagements.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Provide timely support to partners and fellow team members throughout the engagement process.

Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare clear, accurate documentation including technical reports, correspondence, summaries, and presentations.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations with clarity and purpose to both internal and external stakeholders.

Client Relationship Development
  • Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their operations, challenges, and goals.
  • Collaborate closely with not-for-profit organizations to identify improvement opportunities and support long-term success.
  • Help not-for-profit clients make the most of their resources - so they can make the most impact in their communities.

Coaching and Mentorship
  • Mentor CPA candidates and junior accountants through technical coaching, regular feedback, and growth-focused development.
  • Promote a collaborative, learning-focused environment within the team.

Continuous Learning and Innovation
  • Stay current with Canadian accounting and auditing standards, particularly those relevant to not-for-profit and public sector entities.

A Day in the Life

On a typical day, you might lead a planning meeting for an upcoming audit, review files from a team member, meet with a not-for-profit client to walk through financials, and finish your day by mentoring a CPA candidate preparing through their next milestone.
