Full Job Description
The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple audit engagements. The Audit Manager will report to the Assistant Comptroller and will oversee 2 to 3 audit supervisors and approximately 8 to 10 auditors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Managing audits of the operations of City agencies and entities under contract with the City; - Overseeing the planning of audit engagements; - Assigning staff to conduct audits based on their knowledge and background, with a view towards staff development as well as Bureau needs; - Providing general supervision to field supervisors and audit teams throughout the audit process; - Ensuring the quality and integrity of the audit and audit findings; - Complying with generally accepted government auditing standards; - Developing recommendations to correct problems identified as a result of the audit; - Producing audit reports that are clearly written and understandable to the auditee and to the general public; - Managing and leading teams of supervisors and staff auditors, providing necessary and clear direction, training and support; and - Performing other related management, audit functions and assignments as required. ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT AUDI - 10010 Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in auditing, accounting, finance, economics, statistics, law, quantitative or qualitative research methodology, mathematics, data science, management, public or business administration, computer science/information technology, or a related field, and five years of full-time experience in performance auditing according to Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), information technology auditing, internal auditing and/or financial auditing, at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or executive capacity or in the supervision of several teams of auditors.
