Job Summary

The Team

Cortex is the industry's only open and integrated, AI-based, continuous security platform. Cortex is a significant evolution of the Application Framework designed to simplify security operations and considerably improve outcomes. Deployed on a global, scalable public cloud platform, Cortex allows security operations teams to speed the analysis of massive data sets.

Job Summary

In this role, you will primarily focus on asset attribution, the process of attributing ownership of internet-facing assets to an organization. You will be responsible for identifying and assessing an organization's "attack surface" by using various research techniques to investigate the registration information of domains, certificates, and IP networks. By analyzing a company's unique profile, you will narrow a broad scope of probable assets to those definitively linked to the organization. This is an ideal role for individuals with an analytical mind and an interest in cybersecurity, even without a prior background in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive attack surface discovery on client internet-facing networks, making informed ownership decisions on digital assets.
  • Proactively collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to address technical client questions and demonstrate software use cases.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback and refine the attack surface discovery toolset, ensuring alignment on shared objectives.
  • Review and contribute to technical documentation, including training materials, manuals, and troubleshooting guides, to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Participate in on-call duty rotations to provide timely support and issue resolution.
  • Challenge processes curiously and positively to identify and recommend opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency.
  • Simplify complex datasets and technical information to accurately attribute asset ownership.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a conceptual understanding of technical topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to operate with autonomy, manage time, and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote environment.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Client-facing experience, particularly within sales, customer success, or a support function.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., MS Excel, Google Sheets), including features like macros, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs.
