Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving attorney-represented bodily injury claims within our UM Extended Handler Bodily Injury (EHBI) Casualty Unit. This includes confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, and damages, and negotiating settlements within assigned authority limits. The role also includes mentoring and supporting junior team members, helping to drive consistent, high-quality claim handling and development across the team.

We are seeking an experienced UM Attorney-Represented Bodily Injury Consultant to join our UM Casualty team. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, excel at managing multiple priorities efficiently, and demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and adaptability. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. A solid foundation in UM and coverage investigations is highly desirable, and experience handling claims in AL, AR, MS, MO, TX, TN, and LA is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases
• Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims
• Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills

Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job does not have supervisory duties.

As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00/salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
