Job Description

Attorney (Hybrid)

This hybrid role offers a balance of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.

About the Role:

As an Attorney at The Husband & Wife Law Team, you will lead your team to ensure our clients are confident in the decisions they make on their cases and happy with the exceptional experience that we provide. You will work closely with the assigned paralegal and attorney manager to proactively ensure cases are moving forward efficiently. In this role, you will handle tort cases (MVA, dog-bite, premises liability) that are pre-litigation.

This role is designed for creative, emotionally intelligent professionals who are passionate about advocating for clients. With a lower caseload, this position calls for someone who can think critically, navigate complex legal landscapes, and build meaningful relationships. If you are an attorney who finds purpose in thoughtful strategy and client care, this is where your impact begins.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution, including both pre-litigation and litigation matters
  • Advise clients throughout the legal process, providing clear guidance, regular updates, and practical expectations
  • Investigate claims by reviewing accident details, injuries, liability, damages, insurance coverage, and potential recovery options
  • Analyze case materials such as police reports, witness statements, medical records, bills, and insurance correspondence
  • Identify legal issues, preserve key deadlines, and develop case strategies that support strong client outcomes
  • Negotiate bodily injury, uninsured/underinsured motorist, and property damage claims with insurance carriers
  • Partner closely with paralegals and legal team members to move cases forward efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure files are organized, current, and action-oriented
  • Support clients through settlement, including review of final case details and resolution documents

What We're Looking For
  • A strong client advocate with sound negotiation skills and a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes
  • An attorney who communicates clearly, professionally, and with empathy
  • Someone who takes ownership, follows through, and manages cases with a high level of accountability
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and competing demands
  • The ability to work independently while also partnering effectively with paralegals and other attorneys
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces at once
  • Adaptability and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Things You've Done in the Past
  • Handled pre-litigation personal injury cases with increasing ownership and responsibility
  • Managed a personal injury file from intake through settlement
  • Prioritized multiple cases, deadlines, and competing tasks at the same time
  • Drafted strong demand packages and persuasive liability, causation, and damages arguments
  • Negotiated with insurance carriers on injury-related claims
  • Worked with liens, settlement-related financial details, and related case resolution steps
  • Built a working knowledge of insurance issues, coverage considerations, and duties owed to insureds
  • Used case management software to keep files organized and moving forward

Experience
  • Licensed and barred as an attorney in the state of Arizona
  • 2-3+ years of experience handling pre-litigation personal injury matters as an attorney is a plus
  • Experience with case management systems; Needles or Filevine is a plus

What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay with growth potential
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Paid time off & paid family leave
  • Health savings account (HSA)
  • Team appreciation events, employee discounts & much more

Whether you're here to grow your career, make a difference, or be part of something bigger, we've built a place where you can do meaningful work and love the team you're doing it with.
