Our busy family law firm is growing, and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent the clients we serve well. The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners and administrative staff in an effort to effectively strategize and serve clients. If you have excellent research and writing skills, can easily use today's technology, communicate effectively, and love walking into the courtroom to argue if negotiations break down, we would love to connect! Responsibilities • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis • Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients, and completing tasks • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome Qualifications • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required • Successful completion of an accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and 2 years of related experience • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required • Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
