Full Job Description
The ATON Team Lead will serve as a critical liaison between the management team and the ATON Transfers team. This individual will ensure that the team is aligned with organizational goals, drive key performance metrics, and promote operational efficiency. With a solid understanding of ATON (Account Transfer Online Notification) transfers, the team lead will facilitate effective communication, mentor team members, and manage data to achieve team targets. This role demands strong leadership skills and a robust data analysis background to guide decision-making and improve performance across our electronic transfer rails.
What You'll Do
• Lead the ATON Transfers team to meet performance targets and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary point of contact between team members and management, ensuring clear, answers-first communication and alignment with broader organizational goals.
• Monitor key metrics (e.g., transfer completion rates, failure/reject rates, and turnaround times, backlogs, Right the First Time Rate) and provide insights to improve team performance.
• Oversee ATON transfer flows end to end, ensuring timely processing within service levels and prompt resolution of exceptions and rejects.
• Collaborate with other teams, including Manual Sending, Manual Receiving, Institutional Follow-ups, and Treasury, to ensure seamless transfers across various channels.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, focusing on skill development and team growth.
• Utilize data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities within the transfer process.
• Oversee the implementation of operational best practices and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle escalations, resolve complex transfer issues, and serve as an SME for ATON transfers.
• Drive process optimization through automation or other efficiency-focused initiatives, partnering with engineering where applicable.
What You Bring
• 3+ years of experience in transfers, operations, or a similar financial services role.
• Solid understanding of ATON transfers and the broader Canadian transfer ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Fundserv, ATON, and OTC money movement a strong asset.
• Proven leadership experience, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements using metrics and insights.
• Familiarity with AI-driven process improvement and business analytics for reporting and analysis is strongly preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
