JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Management - Leads development and execution of strategies that improve patient care, access, workforce performance, and program growth through APP services. Partners with leaders across the organization to turn strategic plans into clear, actionable initiatives. Keeps APP practices aligned with organizational goals, including care models, workforce planning, and financial performance. Monitors market trends, regulations, and best practices to keep services innovative and competitive. Supports growth, technology use, and partnerships that expand care delivery and strengthen team-based, patient-focused care.

  • Clinical Operations - Provides leadership and oversight for APP clinical practice across all care settings. Establishes standards, governance, and role optimization to support effective and high-quality care. Works closely with clinical and operational leaders to align services with patient needs and system priorities. Leads key meetings, drives decision-making, and ensures clear communication across teams. Represents APP services internally and externally while supporting both independent and team-based care models.

  • Performance Management - Translates organizational strategy into clear annual goals and measurable outcomes for APP services. Tracks performance in quality, safety, access, engagement, productivity, and financial results. Regularly reports progress to senior leadership and adjusts plans as needed. Ensures compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and professional practice requirements. Identifies risks early and drives continuous improvement while promoting accountability and patient safety.

  • People Planning - Leads workforce strategy including hiring, retention, onboarding, and leadership development. Builds a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning. Sets clear role expectations, performance standards, and development plans for APP staff and leaders. Coaches leaders and supports succession planning to ensure long-term stability. Promotes professionalism, ethical practice, and alignment with organizational values. Partner with Human Resources on talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and employee experience. Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with organizational values. Ensure alignment with organizational priorities and compliance with HR policies.

  • Financial Management - Oversees budgets and resource planning for APP services. Ensures spending and staffing align with organizational priorities and financial goals. Tracks productivity, costs, and performance of care models. Works with finance and clinical leaders to address gaps and improve efficiency. Makes recommendations to expand, adjust, or stop programs based on outcomes and sustainability. Ultimate accountability for compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures.
