Summary

Our Los Angeles area office for Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager. This role is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for construction special projects. Assists in all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials, set-up and updates, and schedule to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, sustainable, and timely manner. Maintain constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of assigned projects.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • At least 5 years of previous construction office or field commercial experience in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role.
  • 1-year or more of direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
  • Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s).

Preferred Experience
  • Local candidates preferred but not required.
  • DSA/ Public works experience is a plus
  • Commissioning Coordinator experience
  • Experience in Change Orders Drafting/Negotiating
  • Knows how to drive material procurement as it relates to schedule
  • Can read a look ahead and CPM schedule
  • Capable of facilitating meetings
  • Experience in reviewing sub-billings

The base compensation range for the role of Assistant Project Manager in El Segundo CA posted above is $105,000 to $125,000 annually.

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
