Job Summary

The Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan Medical School, part of Michigan Medicine, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek an outstanding colleague whose research addresses cutting-edge questions in any area of physiology to join an inclusive and very supportive department community that prioritizes transformative science along with training the next generation of scientific leaders. Although the search is open to all areas of physiology, we have particular interest in candidates who seek to study endocrine control of physiology, or application of novel technologies to study physiology in real time. Candidates whose research would bring a new dimension to existing research strength areas of the department are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities*

Successful candidates will be part of an interactive and interdisciplinary environment in one of the top physiology departments in the world and will work side by side with researchers uncovering fundamental basic biology and mechanisms of human disease using a wide range of molecular, cellular, and organismal systems.

Required Qualifications*

Qualifications include a Ph.D. and/or M.D., an outstanding record of research accomplishments, a passion for mentoring/teaching, and a commitment to continuing and promoting the collegial and respectful environment in the Department.
