Overview

The Assistant Director Accounts Payable Services & Data Management will be responsible for overseeing the daily duties of the AP Department, including the supervision of the Accounts Payable staff including hiring, training, assigning and directing the work flow of the staff. The Assistant Director Accounts Payable Services & Data Management is required to establish internal controls and procedures to protect the assets of the company and determine new controls or procedures that address the growth of the company and processes handled by the department.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees all aspects of pay cycle processing and provides additional support when needed
  • Manages the tax reporting and filings; oversees the 1099 process including keeping abreast of changes to tax regulations and standards so as to ensure CHS compliance
  • Oversees Vendor Master file Maintenance functions including MediTract in conjunction with general counsel
  • Directly supervises a segment of the AP staff.
  • Assists with projects as necessary

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:    4-year Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or relevant work experience

 

Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret accounts payable data
  • In-depth understanding of Supply Chain and Accounting functions
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Acute attention to detail and thorough documentation skills
  • Experience with computerized AP system
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to deal effectively in a rapid changing organization.
  • Experience processing Accounts Payable for a healthcare provider preferred but not required
  • Experience working with entry from a document imaging system preferred but not required

 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in accounts payable
  • 5+ years of experience in staff supervision
  • Professional certification required or attained within one year of hire; preferably Accredited Payables Manager (APM) designation granted by The Accounts Payable Network and IOMA.
  • 1+ years experience managing/administering a procurement and/or travel card program.
  • Proven Lawson ERP experience.
  • Proven track record of AP metric development.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes.
  • Ability to operate various work processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs
Posted Salary RangeUSD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
