OverviewPosting Summary This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Develops relationships with potential legal employers and leaders in the legal profession to promote the hiring of Rutgers law students; maintains existing relationships with legal employers, particularly those with Rutgers connections.
- Crafts and reviews high-level communications with leaders in the legal profession in NY/NJ/PA, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and alignment with the Dean's goals, while reflecting the Dean's voice and position with authority.
- Collects a wide range of data for the Dean yearly, both qualitative and quantitative, to include in the compilation of various reports, presentations, and discussions.
- Networks with a high level of exposure to leaders in the legal profession, leadership within Rutgers, donors, and alumni.
- Leads efforts to ensure a seamless and positive engagement experience for employers, donors and other external stakeholders interacting with RLS, fostering strong relationships and upholding the school's reputation.
- Works closely with the community and external entities regarding various collaborative initiatives.
- Targets Rutgers law alumni in the legal profession to build relationships and recruit RLS graduates into the legal profession.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience - Requires a J.D.
- Requires a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in a busy legal or academic environment.

- Requires a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in a busy legal or academic environment.
- Knowledge of the legal market, law school environment, program development and organizational management are essential.
- Excellent communication, business development, project management, and organizational skills, as well as computer literacy, are required.
- Requires strong independent problem-solving ability. This is critical for successfully managing the complexity and time-sensitivity of the school's operation.
- Requires strong commitment to collaboration.
Preferred QualificationsEquipment Utilized - Utilizes PC and laptop, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other routine equipment and software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Works within a typical office environment.
- Lifting no more than 50 lbs. and heavy computer work may result in long periods of sitting.
- Travel from one campus to another is required. Travel to visit employers and potential employers in the NJ/NY/PA area is required as is travel to RLS-related events both on and off-campus.

Immunization Requirements
