Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities and Operations for the Athletics department. This position reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, Events, and Operations and leads in the daily management, and logistical oversight of all athletic venues

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Supports operations for the Rodkin Academic Success Center, RWJBarnabas Health Athletic Performance Center, Hale Center, SHI Stadium (52,500 capacity), Jersey Mike's Arena (8,000 capacity), Yurcak Field (approximately 5,000 capacity), College Avenue Gym, and the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center.
  • Oversees the day-to-day facility and operational needs of Division I athletic programs.
  • Ensures that all athletic venues consistently meet operational requirements while maintaining compliance with university policies, campus facility management guidelines, and applicable safety standards.
  • Oversees select athletic events and special events, ensuring efficient event operations, management of venue logistics, and a high-quality game day and guest experience.
  • Plays a significant role in athletic facility management, including supporting capital improvement initiatives, facility upgrades, maintenance planning, and departmental project management efforts within the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Skills in planning and organizing, integrating information, making decisions, and attaining results.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
