Full Job Description
JOB PURPOSE

The Associate Visual Merchandiser supports the delivery of Burberry's visual merchandising strategy primarily in a flagship location. Working closely with store team and regional partners, the role ensures consistent execution of visual standards, supports seasonal campaigns and activations, and helps create exceptional brand experiences for customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own and execute the visual merchandising strategy for the Chicago flagship, translating global and regional direction into a compelling, locally relevant customer journey.
• Deliver windows, mannequin styling, product presentations, feature areas, signage, seasonal launches, floor moves and special events to the highest brand standard.
• Use sales performance, sell-through, inventory levels, customer behaviour and local market insight to optimise space, product placement and visual storytelling.
• Partner with Store Management, Retail, Merchandising, Marketing and regional Visual Merchandising teams to align commercial priorities, launches and execution plans.
• Maintain exceptional daily presentation standards through regular floor walks, timely refreshes and rapid response to changing trading priorities.
• Coach and provide in-the-moment guidance to store colleagues on brand standards, styling, product placement and ongoing maintenance.
• Coordinate props, materials, fixtures and suppliers, and deliver installations safely and on time.
• Document completed installations and provide clear feedback on product performance, customer trends, execution challenges and local opportunities.
• Travel occasionally to support store openings, seasonal installations, events, training or other business needs, as required.

PERSONAL PROFILE
• Three or more years of visual merchandising experience in fashion, luxury, premium or high-volume retail; flagship or large-format store experience preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating windows, mannequin styling, product presentation, space planning and commercial visual execution preferred.
• Strong fashion awareness, creative judgement and understanding of current visual merchandising trends and best practices.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to interpret sales and inventory information and translate insight into visual actions.
• Excellent organisation, project management, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share clear direction, build effective partnerships and keep stakeholders informed in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with hands-on installation work and the safe use of ladders, basic tools and visual merchandising equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar visual design tools is advantageous.
• Flexible availability aligned to store and launch needs, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional travel as business demands.
• Adhere to the company's Travel & Expense (T&E) policy when travelling or incurring approved business expenses.
• A degree or formal study in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, interior or spatial design, visual communications, or a related discipline is a plus, demonstrating an interest in building a long-term career in visual merchandising; relevant hands-on experience is equally valued.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
• Flagship visual standards are consistently achieved and sustained across all customer-facing areas.
• Seasonal launches, window changes, floor moves and events are delivered accurately, safely and on time.
• Visual actions respond to trading performance and contribute to improved sell-through, conversion and productivity of key categories and spaces.
• Store teams demonstrate strong understanding and consistent maintenance of visual merchandising standards.
• Stakeholders receive timely, clear communication on execution status, risks and required decisions.
• Regional feedback, installation photography and post-launch observations are submitted accurately and on schedule.

Expected base salary for the role will generally be between $50,000.00 and $55,000.00 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
