Position OverviewSUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)Provides leadership and strategic vision for health system perioperative services. Accountable for operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and patient experience across the perioperative continuum. Defines standards of care for perioperative services which promotes and facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Partners with medical staff and interdisciplinary leaders to ensure safe, efficient, evidence based surgical and procedural care aligned with Capital Health's mission and strategic priorities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Master's Degree, or a Bachelor's Degree with a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree. Doctorate degree in education, nursing, or healthcare related field preferred. PA and NJ nursing licenses are required.
Experience:Seven years progressive nursing leadership over diverse clinical areas or related experience.
Other Credentials:Registered Nurse - PA,Registered Nurse - NJ or Registered Nurse - NLC multi-state
Knowledge and Skills:Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment.
Special Training:Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in defining problems, data collection, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Leads strategic planning, growth, and performance optimization for perioperative services.
- Accountable for quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and accreditation compliance.
- Directs financial management, including budget development and fiscal oversight.
- Establishes and supports perioperative operational standards, policies, and performance metrics.
- Drives OR efficiency through block management, scheduling optimization, turnover reduction and real time flow efficiency.
- Drives performance improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, efficiency and quality/safe patient outcomes.
- Supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care. This includes creating an environment in which collaboration is valued and excellence in patient care is promoted and achieved.
- Interprets, communicates, and assures the implementation of the organization's mission, vision and values, and strategic objectives.
- Maintains current knowledge of the Perioperative business environment, trends in healthcare, and standards of care.
- Provides solutions, leadership, and administration of staff, etc., and assures the departments remain in compliance with applicable requirements established by internal and independent regulatory agencies.
