Full Job Description
After nearly 23 years of dedicated service to Our Blood Institute (formerly Oklahoma Blood Institute) and following an exceptional 38-year career in Human Resources leadership, our Vice President of Human Resources is retiring. This marks a rare opportunity to join an organization whose mission is centered on saving lives and serving communities.

Our Blood Institute is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and servant-minded Human Resources executive with extensive, hands-on leadership experience in large, diverse, and geographically dispersed organizations. While nonprofit experience is not required, a genuine passion for our mission and commitment to serving others is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Human Resources leadership, including employment law and regulatory compliance, organizational risk management, compensation strategy, merit and promotional processes, employee relations, conflict resolution, organizational development, workforce analytics, and talent development. This leader will be actively engaged in the day-to-day responsibilities of the Human Resources function while helping shape the organization's future through strategic leadership.

This is more than an executive position-it is an opportunity to leave a lasting impact on an organization whose mission changes lives every day. We are seeking someone who views this as the final chapter of an accomplished Human Resources career: an individual who wants to invest their experience, wisdom, and leadership in an organization whose work truly matters.

Our Blood Institute offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including Health, Dental and Vision insurance, Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Flexible Spending Plan, 401(k) retirement plan, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, and Tuition Reimbursement along with tenure bonuses ($500 bonus after 6 months, $1,000 bonus after 1 year, and $1,5000 bonus after 3 years).

Applications can be submitted at https://ourbloodinstitute.org/about/careers/. However, candidates will only be considered if they also submit a paper résumé by U.S. Mail, accompanied by a handwritten cover letter describing:
  • Why you are interested in joining Our Blood Institute
  • Your passion for Human Resources leadership and caring for people
  • How you believe this role represents the final and most meaningful chapter of your professional career
