Summary
Responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of AI-driven solutions and enterprise integration initiatives across Jefferson. This leader will partner with clinical, operational, financial, and technology stakeholders to leverage AI and data-driven solutions that improve patient outcomes, caregiver experience, operational efficiency, and organizational performance. This position serves as a critical bridge between healthcare operations and information technology, ensuring that emerging technologies are translated into practical solutions that support the organization's mission, strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and financial goals.

Job Duties
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide AI strategies to optimize clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and scaling of AI solutions tailored to healthcare systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide expertise in addressing the intricate challenges of data normalization, evaluation, design, and optimization of data infrastructure to support AI solution build.
  • Guide the development, training, and operationalization of machine learning models, ensuring their performance, scalability, and alignment with real-world healthcare applications.
  • Act as a translator and bridge between operational leaders and IT teams, ensuring seamless communication, alignment of priorities, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of emerging AI tools and technologies, assessing their feasibility, ROI potential, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Support AI co-development initiatives with external partners and work to evaluate and participate in ventures and the commercialization of AI technologies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Data Science, Healthcare Administration, Business, or Computer Science or relavent field.
  • 10 years of consulting experience working with health systems and providers, with a focus on data systems, analytics, and operational improvement and
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in AI-related services, including direct involvement in building or advising health systems on AI applications & solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting due diligence on AI tools and technologies, with a proven ability to assess their impact and feasibility.
  • Proven experience bridging the gap between operational leaders and IT teams, facilitating alignment and collaboration to ensure the successful adoption of AI solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead co-development initiatives, ventures, and commercialization efforts for AI solutions in healthcare, including partnerships with technology vendors and startups.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and medical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, ICD-10).
  • Experience with designing and deploying machine learning models and AI-driven solutions in healthcare environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data systems, analytics platforms, and integration technologies.
  • Deep understanding of data challenges and solutions in health systems, including integrating and standardizing siloed data from EHRs, ERP, imaging systems, and other sources.
  • Clear understanding of hospital financial operations, including cost structures, revenue cycles, and ROI measurement.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable financial impact through AI and integration initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare AI, including data privacy and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Experience in managing change and driving adoption of new technologies in complex healthcare environments.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
