Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management, leadership and direction of the University Registrar's Office, Academic Advising Centre, Info Carleton and for the timely and accurate delivery of registrarial information and services to students and the university community
Qualifications:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
• Knowledge of leadership practices in people management, strategic planning and risk management, policy development, financial management and stakeholder relationship management
• Issues and trends at Carleton and in the higher education sector related to the functions of the University Registrar's Office, Academic Advising Centre and Info Carleton
services
• Knowledge of academic policy and regulations, including records, registration, petition and appeals, academic evaluation and convocation
• Knowledge of the broad university and its specific academic programs and student support services
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and government directives,
• Contemporary best practices in RO systems and service delivery models
• Knowledge is deployed to develop and lead a major functional area within the university
Education and Experience:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
• Completion of a bachelor's degree. Masters degree will be preferred
• Minimum of ten years of previous experience in progressive leadership roles
