Full Job Description
KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. Responsibilities: - Assist multi-state companies with state unclaimed property matters including audit defense, voluntary compliance, annual reporting, developing policies and procedures, and consulting - Assist multi-state companies with unclaimed property audits which includes preparing clients for discussions with auditors, reviewing document requests, reviewing audit assessments, and representing the client at meetings - Review unclaimed property compliance processes and make recommendations for improvement - Assist KPMG audit teams with review and analysis of unclaimed property reserves Qualifications: - A minimum of one year of unclaimed property experience with audit defense, voluntary compliance, process reviews, and developing policies and procedures - Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university - Financial statement audit experience - Excellent writing, communication, and research skills KPMG is proud to offer a comprehensive, competitive benefits package, with options designed to help you make the best decisions for yourself, your family, and your lifestyle.
