Summary:

We are seeking an Associate to join our Finance team in a highly visible role spanning treasury and investor relations for a public company. This position will help manage day-to-day liquidity lender relationships and treasury reporting while also supporting investor communications, market-facing materials, and the Company's equity and credit market messaging.

The role works closely with senior leadership including the CFO, General Counsel , Chief Accounting Officer, commercial leaders, lenders, sell-side analysts and institutional investors. It is well suited for a finance professional with 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, treasury, corporate banking, corporate finance, equity research or investment banking who is ready for broader ownership and direct visibility into capital decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury (approximately half of the role)
  • Manage daily cash positioning across operating and restricted accounts; monitor balances and maintain the short-term liquidity forecast.
  • Prepare and submit borrowing base, borrowing and repayment notices, letter of credit requests, and other administrative agent deliverables under the Company's credit facilities.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for the Company's lender group, administrative agent, and commercial banking partners; field and route diligence requests and maintain the lender distribution list and data site.
  • Compile and deliver quarterly and annual reporting packages required under the Company's credit agreements and note indentures, including compliance certificates and covenant calculations, coordinating with Accounting and Legal on inputs and review.
  • Maintain the Company's covenant compliance model and track leverage, interest coverage, restricted payment and other basket capacity; flag capacity and headroom issues to management proactively.
  • Support financing transactions from a treasury perspective • refinancings, incremental facilities and amendments • including preparation of lender materials, funds flow, and closing mechanics.
  • Assist with interest expense forecasting, debt schedules, and cash flow inputs to the Company's budget and long-range plan.
  • Support treasury-related internal controls, policy documentation and SOX compliance.
Investor Relations (approximately half of the role)
  • Own maintenance and continuous improvement of the corporate investor presentation, ensuring accuracy, message consistency and a clean, institutional-quality design across quarterly updates and conference-specific versions.

  • Draft press releases • quarterly earnings, transaction announcements, financing announcements and other corporate news • and route them through the Company's legal and disclosure review process.
  • Support the full quarterly earnings cycle, including preparation of the earnings release and supporting schedules, non-GAAP reconciliations, conference call script, Q&A preparation materials, and post-call follow-up.
  • Manage the investor outreach calendar: coordinate and staff investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, one-on-one meetings and site visits; prepare executive briefing materials in advance and log feedback afterward.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for inbound investor and analyst inquiries, responding accurately and within the bounds of the Company's disclosure policy.
  • Build and maintain investor targeting and CRM records; track shareholder base composition, ownership changes, short interest, trading activity and consensus estimates.
  • Monitor and synthesize sell-side research, peer earnings results, guidance changes and midstream sector developments into concise, decision-useful summaries for senior management and the Board.
  • Maintain the investor relations section of the corporate website and coordinate with the Company's IR vendors, webcast provider and transfer agent.
  • Prepare recurring materials for the Board of Directors, including market performance updates, peer benchmarking and investor feedback summaries.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • 3• 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in investor relations, corporate treasury, corporate banking, corporate finance, equity research, or investment banking.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and the ability to move fluidly between the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain models with minimal supervision. Financial modeling and analysis; executive communication; disclosure discipline and confidentiality; project management; attention to detail; relationship management; and the ability to synthesize complex financial, market, and operational information into concise, decision-useful materials.
  • Excellent written communication skills • this role writes documents that go to lenders, investors and the public, and clear, precise writing is non-negotiable.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills; experience producing investor-grade presentation materials.
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling material non-public information.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines around a quarterly reporting calendar.
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX.
Preferred
  • Experience in midstream energy, oil and gas, or another capital-intensive industry.
  • Familiarity with credit agreements and note indentures, including covenant calculations, compliance certificates and restricted payment baskets.
  • Understanding of non-GAAP measures commonly used in midstream (Adjusted EBITDA, distributable cash flow, free cash flow) and the associated SEC disclosure requirements, including Regulation G and Regulation FD.
