Full Job Description
Associate Telecommunications Director, IQVIA Inc., Wayne, PA. Must telecommute (work from home) from tri-state area (NY, NJ or PA) and report electronically to the Wayne, PA company location. Implement and support complex hybrid network infrastructures across global environments. Implement and support SDN solutions with a specific focus on Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). Perform systems analyses and network design tasks requiring advanced techniques on the forefront of technology. Lead Data Center (DC) maintenance planning, scheduling, and task assignments to other DC engineers in the region. Provide advanced level support to operation team during major incidents, to resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions. Liaise with architecture team to align high- and low-level designs. Implement Global Network Services (GNS) standards by taking high level architecture designs to low level, quoting of hardware, producing bill of materials for projects and documenting the low-level design. Serve as an escalation point for other engineers when in need of support. Work in cross functional global teams to provide advice, support and guidance on how network technology designs and implementations will affect throughput, network security, application response times, interaction with existing systems and technologies. Provide project and business support leadership for large implementations. Act as senior lead for T2/T3 engineers providing technical advice and consultation on complex network analysis, troubleshooting and implementations. Work M - F, 8:30 - 5:30 (EST) and overtime & weekends as needed to meet project deadlines and maintenance activities requirements. Must be on call 24/7. Salary Range: $135,198 - $242,500/year. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer, electrical or electronic engineering or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires five (5) years of experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) policy automation through Ansible, Python, Terraform, or API-driven automation to include five (5) years: utilizing datacenter legacy networking with routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, or OSPF and switching technologies like STP, LACP, or Dot1q trunks; supporting operation teams during technical network disruption incidents, resolving technical issues, performing root cause analysis and recommending solutions; utilizing troubleshooting tools like Wireshark captures, Datadog, Pathview and NetQoS; converting user networking requirements to policy objects; deploying cost effective networking solutions with ACI Policy; predicting scalability limits and capacity; policy extension over LAN and WAN; performing network service chaining using service graph, auto detection and code upgrade on newly added or replaced fabric nodes, and performing upkeeping fabric health by addressing reported faults; handling ACI REST API interface; utilizing the agile nature of SDN fabrics in bulk deployment of networking policies; utilizing VxLAN, MP-BGP EVPN, or VPNv4 with ACI fabrics; utilizing Linux bash shell scripting for processing data from networking devices; utilizing cloud networking platforms including AWS Direct Connect or Azure ExpressRoute; working in a cross functional global team; two (2) years: utilizing Cisco's Nexus dashboard for unified network management or monitoring for ACI and legacy nexus fabrics. Requires The potential base pay range for this role is $135,198 - $242,500 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
