Linux IT Support engineer role
Fulltime role
Taylor TX / Austin, TX require limited travel to other sites.
Customer - Applied Materials
Required Skills:
• Familiar and experience with Linux OS - a must.
• Familiar and experience with Virtualizations. - a must.
• Familiar with Network switches and Firewall - Strong advantage.
• Familiar with central storage system - Strong advantage.
• Familiar with databases - ability to read and writes SQL queries - Strong advantage.
• Familiar with Orchestration. Dockers and Kubernetes - Strong advantage.
Roles & responsibilities:
• On site support engineer at customer facility or remotely from home.
• Providing periodic, predicted support as Preventive maintenance and upgrades as scheduled with the team and/or external team.
• Providing ad hoc, unplanned support, corrective maintenance. Identify issues, working with the teams till resolution.
• Learn, practice, document and be well organized with all layers of work.
• Be a team player. Working in a team, Global team that helps each other.
• Be responsible. Take ownership.
