About the Team

The Fraud team is looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to reduce the cost of fraud and build solutions to protect our platform from would-be fraudsters. You'll specifically be focused on creating our strategy and executing against ambitious goals around reducing Dasher fraud for New Business Verticals, sitting at the intersection between understanding dasher behavior that suggests fraud and the appropriate enforcements and working with our growth teams on scaling new verticals safely. You'll investigate cases of fraud and brainstorm solutions to reduce fraud in the long-term. Most importantly, you'll help promote the delicate balance between providing our users the best experience possible while keeping bad actors at bay.

  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, investment banking, analytics or related experience; high-growth experience preferred
  • Interest operating in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment
  • Experience contributing to large projects, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills; proficiency in SQL and expertise in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets/sheets) are required
  • Ability to thoughtfully consider multiple perspectives and effectively communicate them to drive understanding and alignment


Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

See below for paid time off details:
  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).


The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$74,800-$110,000 USD
