JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Associate Statistical Analyst to join our Clinical Research team for Abbott Medical Devices on-site in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, the Associate Statistical Analyst will provide statistical support to the Biostatistics Supervisor/Manager and the Cardiovascular Division (CVD) for clinical studies. This includes assisting

with the review of table mockups, CRFs and edit check specifications; work with biostatisticians to validate

data tables, figures and listings; write and document programs; assist in ad hoc programming; and assist in

QC.

What You'll Work On
  • Assist with QC and validation of tables, listings, figures based on table specifications.
  • QC summary statistics in presentation slides and clinical reports against validated tables, figures, listings.
  • Assist with the review of CRF, edit checks, and table mock-ups and provide comments to lead statistician/ Statistical Analyst.
  • Independently modify existing table programs.
  • Assist in creating data listing or summary to Data Management for data cleaning.
  • Assist in documentation of programs and specification documents.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of SAS data steps, procedures and macros.
  • Be able to use existing macros.
  • Provide accurate and timely answers to routine questions.
  • Communicate an understanding of basic clinical principles for his/her project and acts in accordance with those principles.
  • Inform supervisor or manager on important issues in a timely manner.


Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD
  • 2 years' experience in medical device or pharmaceutical clinical research studies.
  • Statistical knowledge and SAS skills (i.e., proven experience in SAS coding).
  • Experience working on medical device clinical studies in highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial/business acumen

$77,600.00 - $126,700.00
