Job Overview
This role supports a platform engineering team that is modernizing existing platforms and building next-generation cloud-native solutions focused on scalability, reliability, automation, and operational efficiency. The Associate Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and platform services that support highly available environments. The role provides exposure to modern technologies including Java, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, microservices, observability tools, search technologies, and AI-driven automation. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this individual will help deliver innovative software solutions while developing technical expertise in platform engineering and software development.

**This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. Office locations include: Frisco, TX and Bellevue, WA**

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement software solutions to meet customer requirements and support scalable, highly available environments.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain software applications and platform services using modern software engineering principles.
  • Develop applications and services using object-oriented programming languages, with Java preferred.
  • Assist in the deployment and support of cloud-native applications utilizing containerization and Kubernetes technologies.
  • Collaborate with platform, data, and engineering teams to develop automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Support AI and automation initiatives through the development of intelligent workflows, tools, scripts, or applications.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
  • Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities utilizing logging and observability platforms.
  • Support the implementation of search, caching, and data retrieval technologies to improve application performance and scalability.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation for software code, system designs, technical specifications, and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver software solutions and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Contribute to the understanding and application of current and emerging technologies to support business goals.
  • Identify and share ideas for system analysis and continuous improvement of existing processes and services.
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.


Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering (Preferred)
  • Less than 2 years Technical engineering experience. (Preferred)

Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $73,590 - $132,660

National Base Pay Range: $66,900 - $120,600

The Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity represents the expected total cash compensation for this role at target performance, combining base salary and annual incentive opportunity. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results.

Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
