Responsibilities

  • Create filters, layouts, and bar charts in Primavera P6 to facilitate schedule performance assessment.
  • Perform quality assurance/control on contractor schedules for compliance with contract terms.
  • Ensure adherence to program-level codes, layouts, and reporting standards for data integrity.
  • Generate Earned Value Curves using LAUSD guidelines.
  • Assist scheduling management with the preparation of project reports as needed.

Overview

The Associate Scheduler supports project controls by reviewing and analyzing contractor‑submitted P6 baseline and monthly construction schedules. This role evaluates schedule logic, scope completeness, milestones, cost loading, and critical path activities, providing clear written review comments using established LAUSD templates. The Associate Scheduler develops schedule filters, layouts, and bar charts in Primavera P6 to help project teams assess schedule performance and identify issues. Responsibilities also include performing QA/QC on schedule submittals to ensure compliance with contract requirements, validating logic ties, and maintaining consistency with program‑level standards, codes, layouts, and reporting guidelines. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and contract‑compliant scheduling documentation across multiple projects.

Responsibilities
  • Review Contractor P6 initial Baseline Construction Schedules and identify missing scope, logic or milestones; identify and analyze the critical path; review the required cost loading and provide writtentechnical schedule review comments based on LAUSD’s structured review templates.
  • Review multiple Contractor P6 Monthly schedule updates and provide written schedule review comments that document milestone schedule slippage, critical path activity slippage, and provideover-all schedule analysis based on LAUSD’s structured review templates.
  • Create various activity schedule filters, layouts, and bar-charts utilizing P6 Primavera Schedule Software to assist the project management team in analyzing critical path construction scheduleissues.
  • Perform QA/QC on contractor’s schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and terms for projects; P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with scheduling guidelines for various project types.
  • Ensure proper use of program-level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Prepare reports as needed and assist scheduling management in reporting projects as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of experience responsible in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects or scheduling for various projects in a program
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, construction engineering or any related field.
  • Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings and contract specifications to earn insight into the required scope of work for multiple school construction projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
  • Superior organizational and planning skills

Salary Range: $135,000 to $155,000 per year

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Environment: Onsite
