Job Title: Associate, Repo Trading

Job Duties: Daily trading and strategy input for the North America Repo book, managing repo across multiple funds, including Hedge Funds, Separate account and selective U.S. mutual funds. Trading global credit, sovereign and emerging market fixed income securities across multiple currencies, and handle daily risk exposures with strong attention to detail. Drive our counterparty relationships and expand existing relationships. Play an active role within the investment process, delivering a high level of service to portfolio managers across the business by providing market color, daily locates and assistance for repo to the investment side of the business. Analyze book performance and market trends daily, providing commentary to management and PM teams. Utilization of skills to improve trading performance, looking for efficiencies to build best in class quantitative and technological solutions.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Analyst or a related role. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Analyst or a related role. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Python; SQL; VBA; R; Business Objects including finance coverage across the platform, risk assessment and management, and business financing and management; Fixed Income Markets; Monetary Policy; Database Management to automate position analysis, recommending trading strategies, initiating trading and monitoring activities; Developing mathematical financial models, performing scenario analysis and stress testing; and Microsoft Excel for ad-hoc analysis.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$136,000.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
