About the Role

The Associate Recruiting Specialist is an integral part of Latham's Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for assisting with leading recruiting efforts, focusing on the summer program, entry-level hiring, and campus outreach, while building relationships with law schools and developing foundational management skills. This role will be located in our Orange County office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in the coordination of recruiting efforts, with a focus on enhancing the execution of the summer program, campus outreach, and entry-level hiring processes, while supporting candidate interviews, maintaining records, and facilitating communication during onboarding
  • Building and nurturing relationships with target law schools, career services, and student organizations, while representing the firm at recruiting events and external functions to strengthen the firm's presence
  • Supporting compliance efforts by staying informed about federal and state legislation and best practices, and assisting with the development and monitoring of budgets for recruiting activities
  • Collaborating with team members to implement innovative marketing and promotional strategies, and providing administrative support to the Recruiting Committee by preparing recruitment statistics and reports
  • Developing foundational management skills by overseeing the work of coordinators and assistants, providing constructive feedback, and supporting team staffing needs during peak periods
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Demonstrate strong professional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels and handle confidential information discreetly
  • Exhibit advanced organizational skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and analyze complex problems to make sound decisions independently
  • Display proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, and other necessary software, with the ability to supervise teams to ensure compliance and accuracy

And have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in legal recruitment or professional services
  • A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.
