Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Provost/Chief Academic Officer, the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs serves as a senior academic leader and provides strategic, operational, and administrative support to advance the College's academic mission.

The position supports excellence in teaching, learning, curriculum development, faculty affairs, institutional effectiveness, and student success. The Associate Provost leads or coordinates assigned academic initiatives, collaborates with academic deans, faculty, staff, and external partners, and promotes innovation, continuous improvement, academic freedom, shared governance, and alignment with institutional priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited institution in a related field.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education.

College level teaching experience.

Experience in academic administration.

Experience with curriculum, program oversight, accreditation, and assessment.

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, academic program review, and institutional effectiveness processes.

Knowledge of higher education policy, governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Expertise in strategic planning, organizational leadership, change management, and continuous improvement.

Ability to analyze complex data, develop measurable outcomes, and make informed, data-driven decisions.

Doctoral or terminal degree in a relevant discipline.

Assist the Provost/Chief Academic Officer in developing and implementing strategic plans, academic policies, institutional priorities, and transformation initiatives.

Represent the Provost at meetings, committees, and external events as assigned.

Support the development, review, approval, and implementation of degree programs, certificates, and workforce-aligned credentials.

Help ensure the accuracy and maintenance of academic catalogs, publications, and curriculum records.

Collaborate with the Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Academics to maintain assessment goals for the Chief Academic Officer's Office.
