We are looking for an Associate Project Manager. This position is located in Wendell, NC. You will make an impact by: As an Associate Project Manager (APM), you will support the successful execution of medium-voltage power distribution projects from project initiation through final closeout. In addition to supporting larger and more complex projects under the guidance of experienced Project Managers, you will independently manage assigned low-complexity projects, taking ownership of project scope, schedule, customer communications, documentation, and financial performance.
You will work within a matrix organization requiring excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills while balancing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage assigned low-complexity projects throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, customer communications, and project closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of project-related issues.
- Support Project Managers during all phases of larger projects, including milestone deliverables, documentation, financial tracking, case management, and customer communications.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones for assigned projects and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Drive collaboration with the Customer Care team in creating and executing use cases to support project acceptance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and deliver project status reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal/external stakeholders.
- Drive final customer acceptance activities, including completion of project documentation, equipment acceptance requirements, and financial closeout activities.
- Lead customer meetings for assigned projects and facilitate meetings on behalf of Project Managers as needed for larger projects.
- Capture and distribute meeting minutes, action items, and project updates throughout all phases of project execution.
- Capture punch-list items from site commissioning activities and drive timely closure through collaboration with Siemens field service technicians, Customer Care, Project Managers, factory personnel, vendors, and customers.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 1+ years of project management, project coordination, engineering, construction management, or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Up to 20% travel required (national and international).
- PMP certification required within one year of employment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience within the power distribution industry, including the ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications.
- Experience managing small projects, workstreams, customer deliverables, or project portfolios.
- Experience supporting medium-voltage and/or high-voltage power distribution projects.
- Understanding project scheduling, financial management, risk management, and change management principles.
- Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of PMI, PMP, IPMA, or other recognized project management methodologies.
- PMP Certification and/or CAPM Certification.
- Experience working in manufacturing, electrical distribution, utilities, EPC, or industrial project environments.

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
