Position Overview

Press Ganey / Qualtrics is seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Associate Principal, Healthcare Consulting to partner with health system & health plan clients on strategic initiatives that improve patient experience, member experience, quality outcomes, workforce engagement, and organizational performance.

As a trusted advisor and engagement leader, you will work directly with healthcare executives and operational leaders to transform complex data into actionable strategies that drive measurable results. This role combines deep healthcare expertise, advanced analytics, executive facilitation, and consultative problem-solving to help clients achieve sustainable performance improvement.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of inpatient healthcare operations, patient experience, member experience, and quality improvement methodologies, and the ability to influence change at all levels of an organization.

What You'll Do
Client Consulting & Engagement Leadership

• Lead analytics and insight development for consulting engagements focused on patient experience, member experience, quality improvement, operational excellence, and organizational transformation.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, executive-level recommendations and strategic action plans.
• Facilitate workshops, executive briefings, strategic planning sessions, and performance review meetings with senior healthcare leaders.
• Partner with clients to design, implement, and sustain experience transformation initiatives.
• Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks that demonstrate engagement impact and return on investment.
• Manage multiple client workstreams simultaneously while ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery.

Analytics & Strategic Insights

• Analyze Press Ganey and client datasets to identify performance trends, root causes, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop compelling dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and data visualizations that support decision-making at the executive level.
• Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to guide strategy development and operational improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, analytics teams, and engagement leaders to validate findings and develop recommendations.
• Identify leading indicators and performance drivers related to patient experience, quality outcomes, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness.

Executive Partnership & Business Growth

• Build trusted relationships with healthcare executives, physician leaders, and operational stakeholders.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner on experience improvement, culture transformation, and quality excellence initiatives.
• Support opportunity identification, proposal development, solution design, and engagement scoping activities.
• Contribute to client retention and expansion by delivering measurable value and identifying opportunities for deeper partnership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with consultants, product leaders, project managers, and analytics teams to maximize value across client engagements.
• Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the consulting organization.
• Contribute to the evolution of consulting methodologies, tools, frameworks, and thought leadership.

Required Qualifications
Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience within a health system, integrated delivery network, academic medical center, large medical group, or healthcare services organization.
• Demonstrated experience in patient experience, quality improvement, performance improvement, operational excellence, or healthcare transformation initiatives.
• Candidates with experience in member experience, health plans, payer organizations, or related healthcare settings are preferred.
• 3+ years of healthcare consulting or other client-facing advisory experience.
• Experience working with patient experience measurement programs, including HCAHPS, Press Ganey, or related quality and experience initiatives.

Analytics & Technical Expertise

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to analyze complex healthcare datasets and communicate findings to executive and operational audiences.
• Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of healthcare quality metrics, performance measurement, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting executive-level strategic planning, organizational transformation, or large-scale performance improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of inpatient operations, patient flow, nursing operations, service excellence, and care delivery redesign.
• Experience with advanced healthcare analytics, predictive modeling, and performance benchmarking.
• Prior experience working with senior health system executives and physician leaders.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Nursing, or a related field required.

Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing, or a related discipline preferred.

Equivalent combinations of education and relevant healthcare consulting experience will be considered.
