Job Summary:OSU Department of Athletics is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Athletic Director for Finance and Business Operations. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the department's annual operating budget.
- Prepare executive financial presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Develop financial policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
- Partner with campus financial leadership on future budget planning as well as both University and athletic department changes.
- Direct the annual external audit process and coordinate audit responses.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with university business offices, auditors, and external agencies.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in collegiate athletics administration or other similar fast paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and foster collaboration across multiple departments.
- Knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional governance, policies, and compliance requirements.
To be considered for Senior Associate:- 7+ years of leadership experience in collegiate athletics administration or other similar fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Extensive experience in higher education or intercollegiate athletics finance.
- Advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, and governmental accounting principles.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing financial operations and supervising professional staff.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate recommendations to executive leadership.
- Experience leading organizational process improvements and implementing best business practices.
Working Conditions/Schedule:Typical office environment with regular administrative hours (8am - 5pm M-F)
