Job Description:

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products


  • Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan to be used for development


  • Execute verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification and test plan


  • Conduct design analysis and testing, both structural and thermal, to prove design will meet customer requirements


  • Responsible for understanding customer needs, generating test procedures and finally executing the test


  • Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO's) as required


  • Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation


Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $59,000.00 - $110,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
